About us
Food is God for the people. Food with respect to human health is very important. Since the College of Bioresources and Agriculture at The National Taiwan University “NTU” was established, the institute has been committed to outstanding research output on food production and food processing. Especially, the institute of Food Science and Technology has been selected as one of thirteen top outstanding school by NTU.
In recent years, in both Taiwan and in other countries research institutes have put lots of manpower on the research of functional foods and into studying traditional processing food technology; and also into studying the role of biomolecules in food.
For the purpose of improving further collaboration between researchers investigating issues regarding food and biomolecules the college integrated teachers and faculties are to establish the “Center for Food and Biomolecules”. In addition, the center will integrates research resources on food and biomolecules; the goal is to promote industry-academic cooperation and implement the objectives of the commercialization of research results and internationalization.
